Local Austin pastors have been invited to an upcoming workshop for clergy related to death and dying facilitated by Odyssey HealthCare. Based in Dallas, Odyssey is the largest provider of Hospice services in the nation. The workshop will be from 9am until 2pm on Thursday, April 30th, at their Austin offices — 4201 West Parmer Lane, Bldg C, Suite 100. Lunch will be provided.

The workshop will be connected to a workbook entitled: “Clergy End-of-life Education Program: A guide for clergy to provide support and guidance to families at the end of life.” It is structured to help clergy minister to their own parishioners during this time and assist them with making decisions. Topics to be covered include the grieving process, children and grief, living wills, and power of attorney documents. Space is limited. For more information, or to register, contact Richard Tinsley by email or phone: 512-810-9219.
