    • April PlantR Gathering: Panel — Arts and Mission

      April 19, 2010 | 1 Comment

Our April meeting is 10am this Thursday, April 22, at the Austin Baptist Association (3811 Harmon Ave, Austin). We will be featuring a panel of local artists dialoguing about Arts and Mission:

      • What does it look like for the church to engage the arts in a city
known for creativity, artistry, and originality?
      • What does it look like to be both a Christian and an artist in a city
that celebrates the artist, yet views the Christian as narrow minded,
        uneducated, and unoriginal?
      • In Austin how can the Church really engage artists, and can a
Christian artist be relevant and on mission?

You might want to talk to Don and the folks at Mosaic. They are very passionate about engaging the community with local artists and musicians via gallery5619.
